I've been reading a book and last night read a passage that intrigued me. The passage was about the inventor of Muzak (George Owen Squier) who was once the Chief Signal Officer for the Army. It was somewhat caually remarked that he knew trees had all of the properties required for a good antenna, and that using such a setup his corps was able to pick up signals from Germany.
Has anyone ever heard of such a setup in practical use? I figured if anybody had, they would likely be on this list!
