Right-O Vaughan, you nailed it. Good job! I acquired the SX28A and matching
PM23 speaker about 10 years ago...it was a nostalgia thing...my first "real"
DX machine way back when was an identical SX28. I logged a lot of DX on that
rig back in San Jose, CA when I first started with the IRCA in the 60's. So
about 12 years ago I started searching for another took 2 years to find this
one, with the speaker. Not letting _this_ one slip through my fingers like
the first one, no sir.
It's been fun reading your stories about the old consoles that you started
on. Similar story here - the DX bug bit me after I started "playing" with
the family's chest-high Stewart-Warner console back in the early 60's. I was
amazed to listen to WBZ, WHO, WHAS, etc...almost every night from our San
Jose home. Back in the days when "clear channel" meant something. Boy, how
times have changed.
