Steve;
I use a model DT 17 timer I just plug in and plug the cassette deck into
it and leave the unit in the record mode and I set it :58 to :02 each
hour. There are 15 or 16 off/on combos so you can set every hour from
the evening to the morning easily. I bought mine at our local Fred
Meyer for $ 10 or something like that. I have had it for a couple of
years. I leave the R8 on all night and the timer clicks the cassette on
and off. I generally set the R8 in ECSS, upper or lower sideband with
the 2.3 khz filter. The weak stuff pops out in ECSS with the Drake
well.
