Hi Steve
I use a similar system here but use the AR7030 memory timer which allows the cassette to sample different frequencies. I use a 13 minute recording window between :55 and :08 minutes. This give me a chance to hear what program is finishing and what program is starting. Like Martin I use SSB. The biggest problem is coordinating the AR7030 "on time" and cassette "on time." I find this approach very valuable during the summer when any DX is likely to come through in "the wee" hours of the morning on this side of "The Pond."
