Several recent entries to the IRCA and NRC Reflectors and publications have
me worried. I have been listening to the radio for over 45 years as a means of
challenge and relaxation. I do not wish to offend any member of either
organization, so I will provide what I think is a valid analogy. Let's assume that
you enjoy deer hunting and twice a year you participate in this activity with
several buddies. For several sessions you have come back empty handed but very
happy to be unwound from your daily routine. One of your fellow hunters decides
to rub it in that he has been more successful. This upsets you and takes away
some of the enjoyment. But wait , something new is available! For a small
price you can purchase this new device that will make the deer back up 30 feet at
the push of a button allowing you to take a second shoot. WOW! Now that's
