I just got back from a trip down the Oregon Coast to Florence from
Seaside. Close to 200 miles each way. My brother remarried after his
wife died in 1998. I got a chance to listen to the radio a bit. KCST
1250 Florence sure does not get out well in the area during the day with
the 1 KW. They fade quite a bit. Same is true with KBCH 1400 Lincoln
City. Both are heard all day up here. KCST Florence is rather weak. KBCH
is ok in signal. But neither station covers well in their market. One
other note, ODOT (HAR) has the transmitters on with info, mostly weather
(NOAA) in Astoria, Seaside, Tillamook, Newport. All on 1650. I get
Astoria and Seaside here. But their network down the coast is active.
