Kicker is last post, "AM....don't think it would ever work". US Patent office Director, 1895, "All that could be invented has been...nothing new possible".

RE: Double zepps, reasoning over a/c as counterpoise, u.s.w.,

During dark days of uncaring 1980's, 'experts' claimed ATLAS to be DEA WASH, couple things caught the ear. One day, ATLAS informs a/c he's unreadable, 'thunderstorms at airport locking up AGC's". Wx good clue. Better one, observation of one more sophisticated than DC desk dispatcher.

What cinched it, ATLAS discussing a/c HF antlers, "weak signal common occurrence, many times they just load up the side of the aircraft".   No desk jockey here.

"New York, six weeks ago. A truck loaded with stripped gun parts got jacked outside of Queens.  The driver didn't see anybody but somebody XXXXXXX up. He heard a voice. Sometimes, that's all you need."
